Trades & TCC
TRADES
After a trade is mutually agreed upon between owners, one of them must create a thread and post that trade in the Transition Desk section of the forum. Because FBF has a strict 40 / 60 roster all teams must remain legal.
In this thread must be posted the teams involved, the players involved, and if this trade involves any major league player with a contract then a description as to why they made this deal must be given by both parties involved in the trade.
If a trade involves ONLY minor league players in it then a explanation is not necessary for the Trade.
Both teams will have to list where players will be placed, and the legal 40 / 60 rosters must be maintained. Both owners will need to show all roster moves that will need to take place in order to complete a deal and demontrate that the roster will be legal.
Once a trade has been proposed and accepted by both both parties the TTC will have 24 hours from the time that the trade has been accepted by the second trade partner to approve or deny the trade. If after the 24 hours the trade has not been approved or voted down then the Commissioners Office (the Commissioner or Co-Commissioner) will have the final voice on the trade. The trade will be locked until the Commissioner is able to process the trade on the boards. The Co Commissioner has the authority to process the trade on fantrax.com.
The TRADE COUNCIL COMMITTEE (TCC)
The Trade Council Committee (TCC) is responsible for reviewing, analysis, approving, or vetoing a trade. No team may go over the 40 man MLB roster or 45 man minor league roster. The Trade Council is made up of 5 owners. In order for a trade to pass, it needs 3 out of the possible 5 votes. Trade Council members are appointed by the Commissioner. A trade shall only be vetoed if the Trade Council deems the trade to be evidence of cheating or collusion. However, TCC does not have to approve a deal if it feels it is grossly unbalanced. If vetoed, TCC must give a thorough explanation behind their logic and reasoning for ALL owners to see. If approved, a TCC must merely state “approved”. Among the things that the trade committee looks at is whether any trade moves either team over the cap and if it does then that trade will be vetoed immediately.
TCC members may not vote on or approve their own trades.
-If a trade council member makes a trade with another member of the league, then the other 2 members of TCC and one member of the commissioner’s office will approve/veto. If there is a split decision, then the second member of the commissioner’s office will be the deciding factor, deciding whether the trade will be approved or vetoed. In the event that the commissioner’s office is involved in a trade with any member of the TCC or the a member of the commissioner’s office then the two involved parties will not be allowed to vote or to influence the other members of the trade panel in any manner.
-If two members of the trade council are involved in a trade, then the 3rd TCC member and both members of the commissioner’s office will approve/veto. The commissioner will be the second and deciding vote. In the case of a split decision between the commissioner and 3rd TCC member, then the commissioner’s decision will be weighted heaviest.
-In the event of a trade where ALL 3 members of TCC are involved, the commissioner’s office will vote on the trade equally and the commissioner will have the final authority for the sole vote to approve/veto the trade.
-You may not move money in a trade.
-There shall be no “players to be named later” in a trade.
The trade deadline is August 31st. All trades must be submitted by August 31st 11:59 pm EST[/b][/color]. If a trade is vetoed because of an incorrect contract or calculation(s), then the deal may be resubmitted with correct information to be approved. If a deal is vetoed because it shows sign of collusion, then the deal may not be resubmitted after the deadline.
